Bare in Locs and Words

Hello there!

It’ll be rude to not introduce myself. You can call me Fifi. It is a short form of my actual name, which means ‘there is nothing as precious as a child‘. I am a woman in her now mid-30s (gasps). I wear many hats of different colours and shapes. I am a daughter to devoted parents. A sister to wonderful siblings. A wife to a tender bear of a man. A mother to a toddler I am ABSOLUTELY sure runs on an Energizer battery that never dies. A professional in a busy firm. But most importantly, I am a soul loved by God. A soul given this opportunity to remove the thick veil over my passion and talent.

I love books. I read A LOT. I also write as much and it is my hope to get published…soon. I have many thoughts…thoughts I often keep within but will now share on here. Good thoughts though, so there’s no cause for alarm 🙂

I recently had my hair loc’d. For anyone who is wondering what this means, it simply means my hair has been put into twists. Over time, these twists will become dreadlocks. Dreadlocks are hair that becomes matted over time. It is a very liberating hair decision and I’ll explain better in future posts why I made this choice.
